Welcome! Namaste! Yoga Destiny offers training and instruction in several different forms of Yoga, Pilates, and meditation.
The studio opened some six monthes ago and strives to provide you with the absolute best in your journey towards health, and fitness.
Yoga Destiny was listed as the hottest new Yoga studio in Chicago in numerous different publications.
Most recently acclaim has come from the novel "City at Night" By: Zachary Weiner. The novel is a great resource for those considering Yoga practice. It explains some of the philosophies and practices by Yoga Destiny, as well as giving the personal story of the founder and Head Instructor Victoria Swanson.
Mr. Weiner's Novel though a work of fiction does an excellent job in displaying the experienced and credentials in of Head Instructor Victoria Swanson.

Typical Class Schedule
Monday Night: Beginners courses- Introduction to breathing techniques and relaxed asanas.
Tuesday Night- Advanced Class- In depth instruction in differing meditative and visualization work. Advanced Asanas.Most have a strong background in Yoga
Wednesday night: Jesse Levin - Leads both amatuers and professionals in basic stretching, asanas, and basic kundalini techniques
Thurs- No Class Schedule
Fri- Special Guest Intructors teach a variety of practices and forms.
Sat- No Classes
Sun- NO classes

Victoria Swansons Story: Known by her friends as Vicky Miss Swanson has been able to note firsthand the amazing physiological and psychological benefits of the practice of yoga.
Her practices came to be of greatest benefit during the most harsh situations of her life and acted as a guiding force to suvrival. Born in the Chicago suburbs, Vicky has been practicing the art of Yoga for around twelve years and was recently voted the #1 Instructor in the city of chicago

The definition of Yoga:The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root yuj,
which means "to join" or "to yoke".
1. Yoga is a practical aid, not a religion. Yoga is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind, and spirit. The continued practice of yoga will lead you to a sense of peace and well-being, and also a feeling of being at one with their environment. This is a simple definition.

The first step for beginers
A quick Starting point: 1 Sitting Down. Begin by sitting erect on the floor in any comfortable position. Take a moment to survey your surroundings. Feel the energy in the room, observe the colors and shapes, and be aware of how you feel. Then close your eyes and breathe in deeply, gently. Savor the air for a moment as you hold your breath, then release it slowly. Do this three times, reminding yourself that your are an integral part of the universe. Pay attention to your posture, the feeling-tone of you, and be relaxed and motionless.
